I would like to ask that BDP considers recognizing the services that Tobias Brandt has contributed to the start up of Braskem Europe GmbH in Frankfurt and his ongoing support over the last year.  
Tobias was a critical piece and our main contact for the transition of Braskem’s business and the start up of our first European operation.  The amount of time and effort he put into making sure our start up was a success is quite impressive – especially with his knowledge of customs procedures and requirements, we were successfully able to transition our business and keep all of our clients happy.  
Tobias spent many hours with our people and our logistics sites to ensure all operations were running smooth. From my point of view, Tobias should be considered a critical resource that can help create strong relationships between BDP and clients.   I hope you have both seen this value and can find a way to recognize it internally at BDP.

BDP Owen Tooze Delivers Customer Service Excellence


Just in, Recognized Excellence highlights a recipient from BDP United Kingdom!
Urgent shipments. Three-day holiday weekends. Inland carriers working at full capacity.  These factors alone can instantly impact global supply chain processes and timelines.  Fortunately, positive outcomes typically prevail with much coordination and great follow-up (plus a bit of good luck). This was the case for BDP London's Owen Tooze and valued customer Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Europe Ltd.  Together, both companies worked out a successful conclusion with the inland hauler to have material delivered ahead of schedule amidst an extremely busy holiday weekend for the container transport sector.

BDP UK's Country Manager Anthony Akerman remarked, "Owen has been very diligent (as always) in following up on every shipment. Owen is our Import Manger and a long standing member of the company having started with our Joint Venture partner (King International - now BDP UK) 25 years ago as of 1st June.  He is very hard working and detailed always going the extra mile for our clients.  I'm sure he will be very pleased to receive this recognition." 

Owen was presented with a Years of Service Award for his tenure with the company and a Recognized Excellence Award for the outstanding service provided to Cooper Tire.  BDP UK's Glen Todman, Operations Manager remarked, "The awards were handed to Owen on June 10 and were very well received by him."

In addition, special thanks to Michael Byrne, Logistics Coordinator - BDP Aston, PA-US for his prompt, internal communications to explain the advanced delivery schedule requested by BDP's US customer.

Congrats to Patrick Kirby, Logistics Coordinator, Import – BDP Aston, PA-US as a recent Outstanding Customer Service Award Winner.  The story begins in April with an “extremely hot” truck import from Mexico to the US for Bayer MaterialScience LLC (BMS).  Customs clearance and inland delivery were so critical that up-to-the-minute planning and communications among BDP, BMS, and the local drayage companies were paramount to ensure on-time delivery to BMS's end customer in the US.  The story ends with a very successful outcome due to the fast and determined efforts among all parties, especially given the holiday weekend and time crunch. Way to go, Patrick and team! Thanks for providing a great customer service experience!

You're in good company if the word "magic" is referenced with your name.  That's how it started with Michael Zagariello, Logistics Coodinator - BDP Edison.  Michael is the recipient of an Outstanding Customer Service Award for a delightful testimonial provided by BDP customer Evonik Cyro LLC. As you know, we (DuPont) can be fairly demanding at times and it takes a lot to keep up with us. Mel and Kirsty have done nothing but assist and support me with a specific shipment (among other things) and I cannot thank them enough.

An urgent airfreight arrived in Sydney last Friday, 21st December. As we were working to a deadline to have this delivered. I notified the girls of this early on and they helped to arrange a priority clearance and direct transport to the receiver. It was delivered on time as promised today. Even though plans changed a countless amount of times, the girls were patient, they gave me great advice and used their expertise to help me make the best decisions.

Molly Elizabeth is a Logistics Specialist on-site at INEOS Oxide (Louisiana-US) and affiliated with the BDP North America-US Export Team in Houston, Texas. BDP Houston Team Leader Kyle Walz initiated the formal recognition and shared these comments about her efficiency with the day-to-day logistical tasks and overall contributions servicing the account.
 
“Molly Elizabeth handles the booking process all the way to the documentation where she created standardized operating procedures (SOP) for each division of INEOS handled by BDP.  Further, she worked collaboratively with INEOS to develop a database of products, customer requirements, and other critical previous data elements to expedite the logistical transactions.  Next, Molly Elizabeth strategically moved the file closing process for Express Bills of Lading to the BDP Global Services Centre in Malaysia with exceptional SOPs”. This action expedited document distribution turnaround while providing even more opportunities for Molly Elizabeth to personalize BDP service solutions on the front end.

Her ability to catch every detail with every shipment is nothing short of exceptional. Her work ethic is excellent and the work she does for Taco is impeccable. We are lucky to have her handling our account.

Recently we have had several occurrences where shipments have been urgent. The difference of a few days (and in some cases hours) would have a profound effect on our ability to successfully run our business. I cannot tell you the number of times I have breathed a little easier because I knew not only would Susan do everything in her power to expedite, but would also keep me informed of any issues or changes ... she has never let me down.

This is just a note to inform you that Ashland's Import team rally appreciates the service that Becky Thompson provides us.  Becky is always keeping us within the compliance regulations and gives us impeccable service.  We may not like being questioned at times, but realize that she is just keeping us coompliant with governmental agencies.  When I call Becky and tell her something is urgent, she gits right on it.  Becky is always willing to help.  An example would be when the newest member of our team called her and asked her about ISF filings which another Broker  was filing.  The other Broker was giving us some sort of outrageous explanation for filing ISF early.  Becky straightened out the situation and we were able to convince the other borker what the requirements were. 

Becky is also very organized by vessels incoming to port.  She prepares lists of what is needed for shipments coming into port which we did not provide BDP.  This is extremely helpful when we h ave to keep the flow moving.

One thing I can say is that Becky truly is part of our team and works well with us.  I recommend her totally for whatever special reward program BDP can provide.  She deserves it.
