BDP Import Security Filing Program
On April 16, BDP Global Chief Operating Officer John M. Bolte presented thirteen (13) Recognized Service Excellence Awards as a formal 'thank you' to each lead contributor of the momentous BDP Import Security Filing (ISF) program. The ceremony took place at BDP Philadelphia where awards were presented to select BDP individuals by contribution area, such as ISF program development (IT), operations, and / or compliance. Further, awards were presented in person to each BDP Philadelphia recipient and by phone to the long-distance recipients based in BDP Norfolk and Houston-JFK.
John officially nominated the BDP ISF management team in March 2010 to "show how our people really do understand how to change the game." The Import Security and Additional Carrier Requirements ruling -nicknamed ISF 10+2- was officially mandated for all US Importers by the US Bureau of Customs and Border Compliance (CBP) in January 2009 with full enforcement beginning in January 2010, where BDP files the ISF on behalf of select US Importers of Record.

The complete story summarizing the project scope and BDP's innovation on the Information Technology and Operational fronts is featured in our company newsletter, DataDayClassic 2010 Issue 3, scheduled for email distribution on June 1. The story outlines BDP's efforts to successfully develop, implement, and manage our ISF 10+2 program. The article further details the regulatory aspects of each data requirement and the benefits of our in-house application.
Looking ahead, continuous education and training, coordinated through BDP University and customer webinars, are revered as critical components to our our long term success of managing data for current and prospective customers. In short, the BDP ISF program provides yet another layer of regulatory data; improving inbound shipment and commodity awareness for CBP, Importers of Record and their global supply chain partners.
Congratulations to each award recipient and Thank You for your exceptional contributions and achievements!
