In December 2009, Johnson & Johnson –with BDP’s assistance- successfully coordinated a critical truck export of last minute orders to its affiliate in Mexico. The SKU for a certain product was out of stock, and the Mexico affiliate requested Johnson & Johnson to prioritize the critical orders. Further, tight communications were imperative since the shipment was scheduled to arrive on a Saturday for Customs clearance with final delivery to the international affiliate.
There was a lot of back and forth among the BDP Phila Airport team, Johnson & Johnson sales and its Mexico affiliate, and the Johnson & Johnson Olive Branch-US plant to smoothly execute the orders within the requested time frame. In addition, Johnson & Johnson had re-arranged a few orders that were already packed and ready for immediate export by truck to accommodate these urgent loads, which would be picked up one day ahead of schedule.
All parties communicated closely to accommodate the product requests and the respective export documentation.
