Boundless Customer Service!
Rick Boedewig, Director – BDP Edison-US nominated Kelly Kontowt as an Outstanding Customer Service award recipient by remarking, “I think this is the first time I witnessed a customer thanking someone and using the words ‘for your Boundless service’. I see Kelly coordinate and deal with these oversized, challenging moves daily and it is especially nice to see her customer appreciate the proactive actions / solutions provided to avoid rolling cargo and keeping an urgent shipment moving.”
As a supporter of Kelly’s performance, Cathy Falzarano, Manager Ocean Exports – BDP Edison-US added that “this kind of customer service is routine for Kelly. She is always looking for ways to save the customer money and time. We are grateful to Mr. Govind Chhotwani – Carrier Corporation United Arab Emirates for taking the time to commend Kelly’s customer support.”
For this specific shipment, United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) was working diligently to accommodate the oversized booking as 40’ Flat Rack containers were in short supply. Kelly recommended moving the urgent order -1 item only among the shipment- in a 20’ Flat Rack container due to immediate equipment availability; where BDP and Carrier UAE would then determine how best to load the remaining orders in a separate container.
Mr. Chhotwani was most appreciative of Kelly’s recommendations and further commented that “the shipment is very urgent in nature; we can’t afford to roll this shipment.” In the end, the cargo moved in 1 x 20’ Flat Rack and 1 x 40’ closed container to keep the urgent shipment on schedule.
