"Dean's performance has been enough to initiate this email of gratitude."
As the Garry-less week comes to an end, I wanted to extend my appreciation for a job well done on Dean’s part. I’m not sure who is above who, and who the main man at BDP is. So I’ve copied in all the contacts that I have. I’m hoping that someone will forward this to the powers that be, so that they can understand how Dean stepped up this week. I have to say that with Garry out, and several shipments in process, I was a little apprehensive and worried about their status. Not to say that Dean hasn’t been reliable to my company since we’ve began working together, but I knew that Garry usually handles the export Air Freight for my company, so I was worried about them being handled correctly. However, not to my surprise, he has stepped up and went above and beyond, all while still handling the areas that he usually handles with us. His performance has been enough to initiate this email of gratitude.
I’m hoping that Garry sees this email on Monday [July 13] when he walks in, and it can ease his tension about the week that he has missed. There were absolutely no problems, and things went more than smoothly. I would also like to thank all of you for your extra work and more aggressive rate quoting of late. This is noticed and appreciated. As I’m sure you’ve noticed the market is crashing as far as rates go, and it seems as though we’ve had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to obtain the freight that we have. And while we remain a strong corporation in this industry, there is no question that things are getting tight for everyone. I have to say that the rates that I have been receiving from both Garry and Dean have been aggressive and competitive, and really show how much work they are putting in to obtain these rates to coincide with the market crash. Thank you Dean for your work this week. It is greatly appreciated.
