In the third quarter of 2008, Bethel faced the challenge of meeting Dow’s increased demand and ensuring on-time delivery for a region that had limited availability for space due to the congestion at major hubs such as Singapore and Tanjung Pelepas to final destinations in southeastern Asia. Bethel day in and day out exhausted all options with available carriers to identify and prioritize critical shipments for Dow’s customers in southeastern Asia. Dow Chemical Thailand especially appreciated the quick turn around on communications and routine updates on the status of these critical shipments provided by Bethel.
