In March 2010, the DuPont Crop Protection business presented Liz with a monetary award -initiated within DuPont- for her "leadership in coordinating some expedited shipments that helped us to meet some very important customer sales" said DuPont's Ronald Peña - Logistics Optimization Manager, Crop Protection, ABS, Nutrition & Health, and Pioneer.
In turn, Mike Williamson, Platform Manager - DuPont Ocean Export - BDP Philadelphia-US elevated the service achievements within BDP for internal, Recognized Service Excellence visibility!As a result of various delays (eg. vessel availability resulting from current ocean market conditions, manufacturing issues, etc.), we were at risk of missing significant 1Q sales of specific product in Korea. Additionally, the delays would have caused problems with our customer's production schedule. At the businesses request, Liz was able to expedite these shipments via airfreight. She managed the coordination between the airfreight forwarder, DuPont ship point, business contacts, and destination contracts. She kept everyone informed with frequent updates. All three shipments / flights made it to Korea prior to the end of the month. DuPont Crop Protection (DCP) is very appreciative of Liz's efforts with these shipments and was extremely pleased that the orders will meet their customer's needs.
