John Wright, Director of Operations - Philadelphia Airport-USA nominated Mildred Abreu with an Outstanding Customer Service Award based on positive comments shared during a monthly customer review meeting between BDP and FMC Corporation in August 2009. During the meeting, Jonathan James - FMC Corporation had gone out of his way to thank Mildred for her efforts on getting a VIP shipment handled. Jonathan then sent a follow-up email reiterating Mildred's "great" customer service.

BDP and FMC have a very urgent project now underway for cargo moving from China to Los Angeles-US; then exported to Brazil, where each step has been closely coordinated and monitored by Mildred. She makes sure the shipments move smoothly and on schedule. Mildred continues to provide FMC with the trust in our ability to deliver Above and Beyond Customer Service."

As I stated on Friday, Mildred worked tirelessly to ensure our first T&E shipment to Brazil met the customer’s expectations. We committed on a delivery date and Mildred’s efforts ensured we were on-time. She encountered several issues processing the entry with Customs. She worked the phones and even influenced our drayage provider to make a special run to pick up documents. We expect great service, and she demonstrated BDP’s commitment to the customer.
