The party sending this email is part of the DuPont Sourcing Team who is somewhat responsible for the management of the BDP/DuPont contract. As there are a few high-level DuPont employees on this communication, it really does send a good message.

In short, DuPont recognized that the imported material shipped back to the U.S. was not going to satisfy their customer and now had to be returned back to China. Karin played a key role in providing the business with real time, up to date information as to the status of the return containers. Throughout the process, the customer had changed direction multiple times and therefore required additional assistance in getting proper routings set up for which Karin ran point. I believe the real sense of urgency came when it was recognized that the material sitting in the containers was Class 8 Hazardous, not to mention the substantial demurrage piling up.

Overall, the approach Karin took to keep everyone informed and aware went a long way in overly satisfying our customer’s needs.
