Mabel Majors - Export Coordinator
Katisha Smalls-Nick - Export Coordinator
Outstanding Customer Service Award Winners
Service Excellence Testimonial
I am compelled to take this opportunity to recognize two of your employees, Katisha Smalls-Nick and Mabel Majors. We had a recent export shipment to Belgium in which we failed internally at San Jamar to secure the timely and necessary information on our SED to provide to BDP International for the filing of the AES and ITN. Both of these numbers are a mandatory requirement on the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL) for admittance into the Milwaukee, Wisconsin-U.S. rail yard for movement to the Montreal Port for export.
Katisha and Mabel both responded quickly and efficiently, and under stress of our request --as usual-- displayed very positive attitudes. Without Katisha and Mabel working together as a team to provide the service we requested, our container would have been rejected at the rail yard and returned to our plant in Wisconsin-U.S., ultimately resulting in penalties or worse, a one week delay of product to our sister company in Brussels, Belgium.
I am grateful for the consistent, positive attitude and efficient manner of work that these two employees have demonstrated since our relationship began in August 2008. Employees of this caliber have become increasingly rare in the business environment today. What is exciting to me is that while this is normal to both Katisha and Mabel, I understand that it is a choice. Go the extra mile and strive for excellence or do the minimum, just to get by.
My sincere thank you to Katisha and Mabel for choosing to go the extra mile and to WOW the customer.
